About the Speakers

Eamonn Gashier
Founder & CEO
Block Scholes

Eamonn is the Founder and CEO of Block Scholes, a leading provider of institutional-grade research, analytics, and data for digital assets. He has more than 15 years of derivatives structuring and trading experience. He has held senior roles at investment banks, including Credit Suisse and most recently Nomura.

Previously, Eamonn was also a portfolio manager at Whard Stewart, a macro hedge fund. He is an Associate member of the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies and holds an MSc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Warwick and an MEng in Chemical Engineering from University College London.

Dr. Jiaji Song
Deputy Director
Guosheng Securities Research Institute

Dr. Song currently serves as Deputy Director of Guosheng Securities Research Institute, Dean of the Guosheng Blockchain Research Institute, and Chief Analyst of the Telecommunications Industry. He has previously worked at Guotai Junan Securities and Everbright Securities, with over 15 years of experience in the TMT industry research. From 2015 to 2020, he consecutively won awards such as Best Analyst in New Fortune and Crystal Ball, as well as the Most Popular Analyst in the Insurance Asset Management Industry IAMAC.

In 2015, Dr. Song took the lead in researching the blockchain industry in the entire market, forming the earliest research team in the brokerage research field that focused on blockchain. He participated in the consultation of various government and corporate blockchain projects and contributed to the compilation of the People’s Bank of China’s “Blockchain Blue Book – China Blockchain Development Report (2017)”. The Guosheng Blockchain Research Institute was established in 2018 and is the only blockchain research institution on a securities platform in China. It conducts research on the development of the blockchain industry from a systematic and rigorous perspective, connecting industry, capital, and regulation.

Qingwen is the Co-Founder and Senior Director of Mulana Investment Management, one of the pioneers licensed by the SFC to conduct virtual asset related businesses for type 1, 4, 9 regulated activities. She is also a Partner at Mulana Ventures, which seeds and invests in early stage Web3 projects. Prior to her journey in Web3 space, she had over a decade’s investment experience working for Delta Lloyd Asset Management, Goldman Sachs, and Citadel Securities.

Remarks

  • Registration is requested, no walk-in will be entertained.

  • Registrations should be paid in full before the commencement of the activity. The Society reserves the right to disallow entrance to the activity for any unpaid registrations or registrations in doubt.
  • Full amount of registration fee will still be charged for no show or enrolment made after 22 April 2024 (Monday).
  • For any cancellation of confirmed enrolment on or before 22 April 2024 (Monday), an administration fee of HK$50 plus 50% of the registration fee will be forfeited. All cancellation requests must be made in writing and be confirmed by email from the Society.
  • Refund of the registration fee (after deducting HK$50 administration fee and 50% forfeiture) will be given for cancellation received on/before 22 April 2024 (Monday).
  • For payment made by credit card, refund will be handled through the card-issuing bank. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. The amount will be refunded to the credit card used for payment.
  • No refund will be given for cancellation received after 22 April 2024 (Monday).
  • Substitutions are allowed and please notify us no later than 22 April 2024 (Monday) if such arrangement is required. Non-member rate applies if the substitute is not a CFA Society Hong Kong member.
  • The event organizers reserve the right to change the format, date of the event due to unforeseen circumstances without prior notice.
  • The event will be conducted in English.
  • For attendance-taking purpose, participants’ names and company names (if any) may be given to the speaker of this event.
  • Should there be any changes to the event dates and other arrangements, we will notify participants via SMS and/or email.  Notices will also be posted on Society’s website.  Please stay alert with our notifications.
  • An additional administrative charge of HK$50 will be charged for participant who registers on the event day.
  • In the event of a dispute, the decision of CFA Society Hong Kong shall be final and binding.
