If you are preparing for the Nov 2026 CFA exam and have a desire for realistic exam practice in a simulated testing environment, our focused initiative “Ready for Battle – Mock Exam” presents the perfect opportunity for you!
In collaboration with UWorld, this event offers a unique opportunity for CFA candidates to engage a customized UWorld CFA mock exam prepared by the Society Candidate Services Committee. UWorld mock exams closely replicate the actual test in all aspects – format, question weighting, difficulty, and interface, thereby providing an accurate simulation.
In addition, our experienced Candidate Services Committee Members and Study Group Leaders, who are also CFA Charterholders, will dissect and analyse the mock questions with you to fortify your comprehension of the materials. Throughout the event, speakers will share intensive exam strategies and tips to help you pinpoint your strengths and weaknesses. This invaluable opportunity enables you to evaluate your exam readiness and gain priceless insights from industry professionals.
* Please note: This mock exam is for candidates who are currently Nov 2026 CFA Level I candidates.

About the Speakers
Mr. Arun Chandra Sekhar, CFA
Study Group Leader
Arun Chandra Sekhar has over 24 years of experience in finance, accounting, and operations. He currently serves as Head of Operations for an Investment Management company that specializes in private credit funds. He previously served as a Vice President for a major global financial services firm, where he led international teams and managed financial reporting, risk management, and client onboarding for major private equity, hedge, and pension fund clients across US, Europe, and the Middle East. An expert in business optimization, Arun specializes in building secure operational environments, driving automation, and streamlining processes. He is LEAN certified and has successfully spearheaded multiple Six Sigma Green Belt projects.
Mr. Zap Cheng, CFA
Candidate Services Committee Co-chair
Zap currently serves as Co-Chair of the Candidate Services Committee at CFA Society Hong Kong and a committee member across advocacy, university outreach and sustainability initiatives in Hong Kong and Macao SAR.
He is a CFA Charterholder, FCCA, Certified ESG Analyst, and holds Master's degree in Corporate Finance and International Relationship.
With over 20 years of regional experience, Zap specializes in finance, accounting, governance, sustainability and regulatory transformation across APAC and EMEA.
He is Co-Founder of a Hong Kong-based boutique ESG advisory firm supporting ESG advisory, disclosure, carbon audit readiness, physical/ transition climate risk and IFRS ISSB S1 S2 training for clients across Asia Pacific.
Mr. Strauss Chu, CFA
Candidate Services Committee Member
Strauss is currently a member of the Candidate Service Committee and has led several study groups over the past two years. He has been a CFA Charterholder since 2023 and is now employed at an international firm that provides accounting services for hedge funds. He has nearly ten years of experience working in back offices for various asset management firms and fund administrators.
Mr. Rock Li, CFA
Study Group Leader
Rock has been a Study Group Leader and a member of the Alternative Investments Special Interest Group at CFA Society Hong Kong since 2025 and 2024 respectively.
With his expertise in financial modelling and asset valuation, he currently serves at a Hong Kong-based boutique professional firm specializing in asset valuation and value creation, leading valuation engagements across financial assets, real assets, digital assets, and other alternative assets, with a focus on institutional clients such as VC/PE funds and family offices.
He is also one of the very few pioneers in the niche field of business valuation for land resumption matters, bringing rare insight into complex compensation and regulatory-driven assessments.
Passionate about advancing best practices in valuation, Rock is dedicated to sharing practical insights with the candidates.
Dr. K.P. Wat, CFA, SFHEA, FSA, FASHK, CERA, FRM
Candidate Services Committee Member
Dr. Wat is the Associate Head of Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at The University of Hong Kong, with over 10 years of working experience in tertiary education. He is also a qualified actuary, serving as a Council Member of the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong, taking charge of membership, communications, professional development and exam matters.
With various qualifications in financial risk management, investment and actuarial science, Dr. Wat actively volunteers in different professional bodies. He is a member of the Candidate Services Committee and the University Outreach Committee of the CFA Society Hong Kong.
About the Emcee
Mr. Ivan Chan, CFA
Candidate Services Committee Member
Ivan is the Valuation and Risk Controller of a global top-tier investment bank, leading independent price verification, valuation transformation and methodology enhancement of credit, rates, hybrid and structured products in Asian and EMEA markets. He has been selected as Advanced Leadership Talent in the bank.
Specialized in quantitative finance, Ivan was the head of valuation in business enterprises, financial derivatives and intangible assets at a professional consultancy firm for over 10 years, pioneering complex valuations with algorithms and simulations.
Ivan has been honored by CFA Society Hong Kong as an Outstanding Study Group Leader Awardee and an Independent Qualified Valuer for Quantitative IP Valuation.
