Professional Leave
Changes in your career path or personal circumstances shouldn’t prevent you from maintaining your membership. CFA Institute offers Professional Leave to members who are not currently working in a full-time position where they are engaged in professional activities that qualify as acceptable work experience. The Society continues with the same practice for the 2026-2027 membership renewal process.
*Terms and Conditions for FY27 membership renewal incentive gift:
- The CFA Society Hong Kong (the "Society") FY27 membership period spans from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027 (inclusive).
- This campaign is exclusively available to renewing members of the Society. New members who joined the Society for the first time on or after 4 May 2026 are not eligible to participate.
- Each eligible member who successfully completes the FY27 membership renewal process will be entitled to receive one (1) portable luggage scale (the “Renewal Gift”), subject to availability.
- To qualify, members must complete the following requirements on or before 31 May 2026 (Sunday), 11:59 PM HKT:
- Full payment of the Society’s FY27 Annual Dues; and
- Submission of the Professional Conduct Statement / Annual Ethics Declaration.
- The official date and time of renewal shall be determined solely by the records maintained by the CFA Institute system.
- No separate registration is required. Eligible members who meet the qualification criteria will be automatically enrolled in this campaign.
- A total of 800 Renewal Gifts are available and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.
- Eligible recipients will receive a confirmation email during the week of 6 July 2026 (tentative). Members are responsible for ensuring their contact information in their member profile is accurate and up to date.
- The Renewal Gift must be collected in person from the Society’s office within the designated two-week collection period (specific dates will be stipulated in the confirmation email). No courier or delivery services will be provided or arranged by the Society.
- Any Renewal Gift not collected within the specified period will be forfeited without further notice or compensation.
- Members are responsible for inspecting the Renewal Gift at the point of collection. No exchanges, replacements, warranties, or returns will be accepted once the gift has been collected. The Renewal Gift is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or other items.
- All images and descriptions of the Renewal Gift are for reference purposes only.
- In the event of stock shortages or unforeseen circumstances, the Society reserves the right to substitute the Renewal Gift with an alternative item of similar value, or to cancel the campaign at its sole discretion without prior notice.
- The Society is not the manufacturer or supplier of the Renewal Gift. The Society makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality, functionality, or fitness for a particular purpose of the gift. The Society shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of the Renewal Gift.
- These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time without prior notice at the sole discretion of the Society.
- In the event of any dispute regarding the campaign or eligibility, the decision of the Society shall be final and binding.
