Our recent “Awards Night 2025” celebratory banquet was a resounding success, attended by over 130 guests and CFA Charterholders in 2024-2025.
The event was kick-started with a thoughtful opening address by Dr. Alvin Ho, CFA, President of the Society. He congratulated the new CFA charterholders and emphasized the importance of relationship-building in cultivating a fulfilling life and career.
This was followed by a keynote address from Dr. Jimmy Jim, CFA, Managing Executive Officer and Head of the Global Markets Department at ICBC (Asia) Limited, and Alternate Chief Executive of the ICBC Hong Kong Branch. In his speech, titled “Job Transformation in the AI World,” he explored the future of work, emerging opportunities for finance professionals, and offered actionable strategies for career navigation in the AI era.
We extend our special gratitude to Dr. Jim and Mr. Richard Mak, CFA, Immediate Past President of the Society, for officiating the Charter Award Presentation Ceremony. Our thanks also go to Ms. Grace Yeung, CFA, Senior Director, Exam Development at CFA Institute, for presenting our annual Study Group Leader Appreciation Award, which recognizes the outstanding contributions of the Society’s volunteers who generously dedicate their time and expertise to support the next cohort of exam candidates. Our candidate services would not be possible without the dedication of these remarkable volunteers!
