Geopolitical Scenarios In 2026: Know Your Odds!

Investors need a systematic way of incorporating geopolitical analysis into their portfolio strategy. Since nobody can really see the future, the solution is expert scenario analysis that provides numerical estimates for probabilities. The odds will be set according to empirical data, rigorous logic, and clear and structured reasoning for interpretation. In this presentation, we provide examples of scenario analysis and draw timely macro conclusions and market implications.

Registration and Payment Policies

• Registration is compulsory for all attendees. 
• To cope with the growing trend of going cashless, cash and cheque payment is strictly not accepted.  Please ensure the online payment is successfully completed, otherwise, the registration may not be processed.
• For members, non-members & guests, registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment. 
• The Zoom webinar link and email confirmation will be sent to the registrant upon successful online registration. Each registrant will be given a unique link for each session, please do not share the link with others.
• A webinar reminder will be sent out 1 day before the event. If you have not received the email confirmation and reminder, it is the delegate’s responsibility to contact CFA Society Hong Kong to confirm their place.
• Please log in the webinar link 10 mins in advance of the session start time to allow some time to solve the technical issues (if any) and the webinar will start promptly at 7:00 PM

Attendance and Certification

• Participants will be entitled to receive CPT Attendance Letter at NO extra costs after attending the FULL webinar. To qualify for CPT/CE hours, all participants must attend the full webinar. After the webinar, Society staff will verify participants’ check-in and check-out time from the registration system for the purpose of issuing CPT Attendance Letters. No pro-rata credit hours will be awarded.

Cancellation, Refunds, and Substitutions

• Full amount will still be charged for no-show or enrolment made after Tue, 27 Jan 2026.
• An administration fee HK$50 will be charged for any cancellation of confirmed enrollment made on or before Tue, 27 Jan 2026. All cancellation requests must be made in writing and be confirmed by email from Society Hong Kong.
• Refund of the event fee (less an administration fee of HK$50 per person) will be given for cancellation received on/before Tue, 27 Jan 2026.
• For payment made by credit card, a refund will be handled through the bank, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. The amount will be refunded to the paid credit card account. 
• No refund will be given for cancellation received after Tue, 27 Jan 2026.
• Substitutions are allowed. Please notify us prior to the event. Non-member rate applies if the substitute is not a CFA Society Hong Kong member.

• CFA Societies Global Passport Program Eligible.
• The event will be conducted in English.
• For attendance-taking purpose, participants’ names and company names (if any) may be given to the speaker of this event.
• Should there be any changes to the event dates and other arrangements, we will notify participants via SMS and/or email.  Notices will also be posted on Society’s website.  Please stay alert with our notifications.
• The event organizers reserve the right to change the format, date or speakers of the event due to unforeseen circumstances without prior notice.
• In case of dispute, the decision of CFA Society Hong Kong is final, and no further correspondences will be entertained.
