We are excited to announce our partnership with HKUST Business School MSc in Family Office and Family Business program to co-host the highly anticipated Family Office Seminar. In today's fast-paced and ever-changing environment, marked by ongoing economic fluctuations and geopolitical shifts, the ability to adapt and demonstrate resilience has become essential for successful investment strategies.
Our keynote speaker, Dr. Joe Qiao, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Finance at HKUST and a seasoned Chief Investment Officer in a single family office, will lead the discussion with a compelling presentation titled “From $1,000 to $1 Billion: How Wealth Changes the Way We Invest.” Dr. Qiao will explore the transformative journey of wealth accumulation, providing valuable insights into how different levels of wealth shape investment decisions and strategies.
Following Dr. Qiao's enlightening talk, we will host a dynamic panel discussion featuring an esteemed group of leaders from the family office sector. This engaging session will focus on “Developing Talent for the Next Generation of Family Offices,” addressing the current market needs and effective strategies for nurturing talent within family offices.

About the Speakers

Mr. Joe Qiao
Chief Investment Officer
Globaltec Capital
Mr. Joe Qiao serves as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Globaltec Capital, a distinguished single-family office based in Taiwan, where he oversees the wealth management of the founder of the second largest Taiwan semiconductor design company.
Before his tenure at Globaltec Capital, Mr. Qiao held senior positions at Sinovation Ventures, JP Morgan, and Deloitte.
In addition to his professional career, Mr. Qiao is an adjunct professor of Finance at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where he teaches wealth management in finance and family office programs.
Mr. Qiao holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and is a certified U.S. CPA.

Mr. Leo Lee, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
Grace Harmony (Hong Kong) Limited
Leo serves as the Chief Investment Officer for Grace Harmony (Hong Kong) Limited, a single family office in Hong Kong which invests internationally in traditional assets (equity and fixed income) and alternative investment strategies. Leo has over 29 years of investment experience to manage global multi-asset investment portfolios for several prominent family offices, including Empire Group Holdings, Grace Financial Limited and Sterling Enterprises Limited. Apart from financial investments, he also assists a charity foundation and social enterprise to make a difference in society.
Leo began his career in 1996 on the research and portfolio management with Search Investment Holdings Limited, a family office for Robert Miller, the co-founder of Duty Free Shopper (DFS). He is the holder of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter and Certified Financial Planner Certification (CFP). Leo holds an MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with an undergraduate study completed at University of Hong Kong (B.Eng in Computer Engineering).

Ann is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jadewell Family Office, a boutique multi-family office based in Hong Kong.
Prior to founding Jadewell, Ann has served in senior investment advisory roles at premier global financial institutions - including JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, and UBS - where she focused on crafting bespoke, multi-asset investment strategies tailored to the needs of clients.

Alex leads private investments at Gate3 Capital, a Hong Kong-based single-family office, with a flexible mandate to capitalize on market dislocations globally. With nearly 20 years of experience specializing in real estate, he has completed a wide range of transactions across the capital stack. His extensive work across various jurisdictions has shaped his broad global perspective.

Registration Policies
- Registration is compulsory for all attendees, and no walk-in participants will be permitted to ensure proper event management and capacity control.
Attendance and Certification
- Only individuals who are officially registered are allowed to stay and participate in the event, ensuring a controlled and professional environment.
- To qualify for Continuing Professional Training (CPT) or Professional Learning Program (PL) hours or RBV CPD hour, all participants must attend the event in its entirety. Following the event, Society staff will verify each participant’s check-in and check-out times with the registration system to issue CPT Attendance Letters. No pro-rata credit hours will be awarded for partial attendance, maintaining the integrity of the certification process.
- Requests for attendance letters will not be processed after the event date and the registration deadline.

- For the purpose of attendance tracking, participants’ names and company names (if provided) may be shared with the event speaker.
