About the Moderator

Mr. Bosco Chan

Mr. Bosco Chan is currently a Vice President at a global private bank, providing transformation solutions in Credit Operations. He was previously the Unit Manager in the Commercial Banking and the Deputy Team Head in the Business Banking.

Chan is passionate about continuous learning and volunteering. He was the organizer of the International AWM Ops Associate Forum at a global private bank, a Member in Continuing Education Committee of CFA Society Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems and Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from the University of Hong Kong.

Remarks

Registration and Payment Policies

  • Registration is compulsory for all attendees, and no walk-in participants will be permitted to ensure proper event management and capacity control.
  • For members, non-members, and guests, registration is only officially confirmed upon the successful receipt of payment. Reflecting the increasing shift towards cashless transactions, cash and cheque payments are not accepted. Participants must ensure that their online payment transactions are completed successfully; failure to do so may result in the registration not being processed.
  • All registration fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the event.  If the registration fee remains outstanding at the time of the event, CFA Society Hong Kong reserves the right to refuse entry.
  • The full registration fee will be charged for no-shows or for any enrollments submitted after the deadline of 22 Oct, 20251

 

Cancellation, Refunds, and Substitutions

  • A non-refundable administration fee of HK$50 will be applied to any cancellation of a confirmed enrollment made on or before 22 Oct, 2025. All cancellation requests must be formally submitted in writing, and confirmation must be received via email from CFA Society Hong Kong to be considered valid.
  • For cancellations received on or before 22 Oct, 2025, a refund of the event fee will be issued, deducting the HK$50 administration fee per person. For payments made via credit card, the refund process will be handled directly through the bank, with a processing period of 4 to 6 weeks. The refunded amount will be credited back to the original payment card, and participants are advised to check their statements accordingly.
  • No refunds will be provided for any cancellation requests received after 22 Oct, 2025.
  • Substitutions are permitted, participants must notify the Society in advance. If the substitute is not a Society member, the applicable non-member rate will be charged to reflect membership benefits.-

 

Attendance and Certification

  • Only individuals who are officially registered are allowed to stay and participate in the event, ensuring a controlled and professional environment.
  • To qualify for Continuing Professional Training (CPT) or Professional Learning Program (PL) hours or RBV CPD hour, all participants must attend the event in its entirety. Following the event, Society staff will verify each participant’s check-in and check-out times with the registration system to issue CPT Attendance Letters. No pro-rata credit hours will be awarded for partial attendance, maintaining the integrity of the certification process.
  • Requests for attendance letters will not be processed after the event date and the registration deadline.-

 

Other Details and Policies

  • This event is recognized as eligible under the CFA Societies Global Passport Program.
  • The event will be conducted exclusively in English.
  • For the purpose of attendance tracking, participants’ names and company names (if provided) may be shared with the event speaker.
  • Should there be any changes to the event date(s), venue, or other arrangements due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be notified via SMS and/or email. Additionally, notices will be posted on the Society’s website, and participants are encouraged to stay vigilant and check these channels for updates.
  • Participants are personally responsible for safeguarding their belongings throughout the event, as CFA Society Hong Kong will not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
  • Individuals experiencing discomfort, flu-like symptoms, or any health concerns are kindly requested to refrain from participating in the event to prioritize the well-being of all attendees.
  • In the event of any dispute arising from the event, the decision made by CFA Society Hong Kong shall be considered final and binding to ensure consistency and fairness.
  • The event organizers reserve the right to alter the format, date, or other aspects of the event due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather or logistical issues, without providing prior notice.
