The Mercer CFA Institute Global Pension Index is a study of 43 retirement income systems across the globe and the sample size of the study covers almost 2/3 of the world’s population. The index is calculated based on three weighted sub-indices, namely adequacy, sustainability and integrity. In the 2021 study, Hong Kong’s performance on integrity was outstanding but it was only average on adequacy and sustainability.

In this webinar, speakers from Mercer and KPMG will share with you:

  • The 2021 findings from the Global Pension Index;
  • The strengths and weaknesses of pension systems;
  • How pension systems in Asia, and in particular Hong Kong, compare to other systems across the globe;
  • Gender differences in pension outcomes;
  • Tax and non-tax policies that encourage people to save for their retirement in selected countries in the region;
  • How to save money for retirement smarter from a Hong Kong tax perspective

CFA Society Hong Kong representative, Mr. Conrad Yan, CFA, Co-Managing Partner at Albamen Capital Partners will moderate a panel discussion with the two speakers before taking questions from the webinar participants.
